Nursing courses are taught entirely online

Nursing courses are taught entirely online

At the beginning of your first online course, an orientation is held. Nursing courses are delivered in online and intensive formats, making it possible for a working RN to complete the program in two to three years as a part-time, distance-learning student. Portfolio and test-out options are available if a student can demonstrate course competencies through prior work and learning experiences. Nursing courses are broad based and comprehensive and are designed to prepare candidates to work in a wide variety of health care settings. Registered nurses are licensed to practice nursing in the field/s in which they are registered without supervision, and assume accountability and responsibility for all their actions and aspects of care.

Nursing courses are taught online in the summer, fall and spring sessions. The non-nursing general education and elective requirements may be satisfied by courses offered through the Division of Corporate, Continuing, and Distance Education, if available, or (with prior approval) another accredited college or university. Nursing courses are not currently online, so students will be required to travel to campus to attend class. Clinical/Lab practice occurs at local sites, and clinicals include nursing homes, hospitals, community settings, and may include evenings and weekend hours. Nursing courses are serial and are concentrated at the junior and senior level of the program. A practicum is required in each clinical nursing course.

Nursing courses are usually offered in 8-week terms, although the medical-surgical nursing courses are offered in a 16-week option per semester. General education courses are held in the evening at University College at Washington University and are offered in a 16-week format only. Nursing courses are offered in campus classrooms. Courses are “block scheduled,” meeting one day or evening per week. Nursing courses are not transferable.

Nursing courses are generally not transferable. Official transcripts must be received before eligibility for admission may be determined. Nursing courses are a combination of classroom and clinical experiences. Nursing classes are usually held on the Des Plaines campus, while clinical experience is offered in a variety of health care settings in the community.

Nursing courses are offered one evening a week using a combination of classroom and Web-enhanced instructional strategies. General education courses are offered in a variety of formats including day, evening, and online. Nursing courses are alot of money.

Online degrees are a great option for people who live in faraway areas or who want to do additional courses or jobs along with their course in forensic nursing. These online degrees guarantee you good jobs.

Degree students study adult nursing only. Diploma students can choose from adult nursing, children?s nursing, learning disability nursing and mental health nursing. Degree students are entitled to apply for a means-tested bursary. You may also apply for a student loan from the Local Education Authority.
